February Intentions: Compassion

This is a draft entry to give access to the tracking sheet before Feb.

In February I will be focusing on compassion, for myself and others.

What does compassion look like for you?

Self-compassion today means saying no to adding another meeting to my schedule and instead allowing for more time to heal. On January 1 the vitreous in my left eye detached and my brain has been working hard to compensate for the changes. I see a lot of floaters (grey spots and hair-like threads) moving around as my eyes move. I didn’t realize how many times my eyes refocused during the day and most of the floaters move in different directions.

I was hoping the floaters would go away but they are not. Some things are more difficult and I’m grateful I can still see. I recognize that my frustration is not helping and that I need to let go of what I had in the past. So tracking compassion seems like one thing I can do this month to help myself.

My January tracking sheet worked well for me so I did not make any changes this month. I am continuing to note my Energy Levels (see Mapping Feelings to the Energetic Self-Perception Chart for more on Energy Levels) and recording notes for as many days as I can.

Hope your February is filled with compassion!
